Young people tend to start working with a lot of enthusiasm towards their dream.
They know they have to put in the efforts, yet they want results fast. They never know beforehand what kind of troubles they will encounter on the road to success.
“The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.”
— Confucius
The world is a tough place where everyone is fighting for a place for themselves. This struggle can lead to a stronger personality and better results in the long run, yet it can also be a crumbling pressure if you took the process lightly. This struggle can lead to stress, insecurity and can even burn out the former enthusiast.
The key to keeping your head up in the struggle is to keep your dream in sight while continually focussing on the small steps that lead you there.
There is always a small task or action you can do that lead to progress towards the big dream. If you do not start and finish these ‘unimportant’ tasks, you will never get there. These small steps are an underestimated, yet very important piece of the puzzle. You can not reach your dream by only doing the ‘important’ stuff, the ‘unimportant’ ones are vital to your success.
So, before you drop your enthusiasm and start to blame yourself, clear your mind and start focusing on the small tasks you can do now. This is how all progress works. You just need to know how this process works to not loose your focus.
Just start building your dream one tiny action at a time. It takes a lot of effort to get to the top of the mountain, but it is all worth it in the end.
You can not build dreams overnight, it takes hundreds of small actions during daytime.
How do you keep your focus?
