Genocide is the intention to destroy a group as such. Using a ‘triple lens approach’ allows to easily understand it. All is needed is looking at:

The totality of conduct (which may include either crimes per se – killing, torture, forced displacement, etc – or acts conducive to crimes),

Against the totality of the group (e.g. Israel treats any Palestinian, old or young, as a security threat, arrestable or even killable, which facilitates all manners of unlawful conduct and justification thereof);

In the totality of the land (the entire occupied Palestinian territory, namely what Israel claims sovereignty on and where Palestinians ‘must’ be uprooted/eliminated).

Far from being ‘a novel approach’, what I propose is common sense, based on int’l law and jurisprudence.

My last report, Genocide as Colonial Erasure, explains the long-standing colonial logic of the unfolding genocide, and I am glad @Law4Palestine summarized it.
